Exclamation Floor Jack

Seeing which our cars weigh a little over 3,000 lbs. Which jack should I buy the 3,000 pound one or 4,000 lb one just to be safe.

At most, you're only going to lift about 1600 lbs at one time (one side or one end). you're never lifting the whole car so you're not lifting it's whole weight. Normally, you're lifting 1/4 of the weight or about 800lbs.

Whats the price difference? If the 4000 pound jack is just a little more get that one. You might need it at a later time.
