Default Low clutch engagement???

Hi, I just did a MT swap and it feels like the engagement is close to the floor (1" off the floor)? Is that normal? I swapped out the oem lines with ss lines and this is with competition stage 4 clutch. The clutch pedal doesnt stick and is the same height as the brake pedal.

No, I wouldn't say that engagement that is 1" off the floor is normal. In fact, the MT Z has a rather high engagement that people have been known to adjust to a lower setting. But you should be fine unless your uncomfortable with it that low.

The engagement point is adjustable. Surprised you didn’t know that.

Default my pedal sticks as well...

I've got a bone stock 07 roadster. After having the car for almost two years I turned off my vehicle dynamic control and tried to lay some rubber for the first time. Thinking this would be effortless with the power our cars have, i was surprised to experience my clutch stuck to the floor ( or just barely off the floor) and my revs up at 8k. Is there a problem with these cars when there is heavy engine torqing happening causing binding somewhere that might cause this? does the vdc control affect clutch operation at all? My clutch stank for 30 minutes or so after this happened. Any correlation with this and the adjustment of the clutch pedal mentioned above? What is sticking when it happens? Any help would be appreciated.

Thx,

Bryan

1. Siphon out your clutch fluid from the clutch fluid reservoir with a turkey baster (or like item) leaving a very small amount (below the "min level" line) of fluid in the reservoir.
2. Fill up reservoir with new clutch fluid to the "max level" line(or it may just be brake fluid)
3. Pump clutch pedal 20-25 times
4. Repeat Steps 1 - 3 until fluid in reservoir resembles new fluid being used.

Hope that helps...

Go to the search type in "adjust clutch" go to the one says "Clutch Issue" in there is a link that go in detail on clutch issues. And yes you can adjust your clutch pedel when where you want it to pick up. Look behind you clutch pedel (it's a pain getting under there) you will see a rod attaches to back of the clutch pedel with a 12mm nut. This is the nut that you will turn to adjust your travel. move it about a 1/2 turn untill you get it where you want it. You will need some vice grips to hold the shaft & 12mm wrench to turn the nut. Somewhere in this forum their is some photos of this. Hope this helps? I would attach the links but i'am not to good on this computer. I'am better working on my Z.

I need to correct my post ^^^ to adjust clutch pedal loosen jam nut with 12mm wrench turn rod clockwise (looking from seated in drivers seat) will increase pick up on clutch pedal. Turn rod about one time around tighten jam nut and check to see if it is where you like it ? If not adjust some more. Sorry for any confussion.

Wink Return of the bolero

This new fashion will probably not be popular with those brides choosing a princess style tea length wedding dresses. However, boleros are perfect for flower girl dresses and look magnificent with strapless gowns. As the bolero acts as a complement to the prom dress, jewellery is no longer really necessary.
