I have a 2003 350z touring and my car has been locking me out of 2nd gear and 6th gear like today i got on it in first gear and shifted to 2nd and it locked me out and ground and i didnt slam the shift or shift hard at all and i was completely on the clutch and it seems to not want to go into 6th gear frequently. I was thinking the synchros were going bad or they already were bad. So i wanted to know if anyone else has had the same or similar problems or if anyone has any ideas of what it could be. Thanks.

Also, when's the last time you changed your tranny fluid?

 

Haha I'm sorry i typed it up really quick before I went to the gym. But yea I bought the car 5 months ago so it hasnt been changed since I bought it, which I put about 5,000 miles on it since I bought it. I'm going with it was changed before they put it up for sale because it was a certified used car, so maybe like 6k-7k miles ago.

 

Sounds like a serious problem. You need either a used or rebuilt transmission.
