Default 2003 350z 6 disc changer jammed?

So... it's a 2003 350z with 90k miles on it.

As the disc changer was switching from 5 to 6... It started to make a rapid clicking noise which continued incessantly until it was replaced by a simple "press eject button" message from the head unit... I press the eject button and the thing starts going crazy again clicking and clacking.

I can't get a single disc out, none of them work.. None will play. The thing is either clicking really loud or asking me to eject..

This makes me so so so sad. Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. Wouldn't eject or play any discs for a couple of days, then randomly worked again. The factory headunits are known to suck; get an aftermarket one.

Yeah, only repair I tried myself was a fist to the side of the console a few times while it was making the clicking sound in case something small was out of place.

Don't have much money at all these days :/

Cool, how much does a half decent aftermarket cost? Less than the 600 to repair mine to spec, maybe?

Way less. For $600 you can get a VERY good DVD/MP3/CD player or a double din. Best of luck to you
