Default Almost dies after start up.

Started it up today and the idle dropped way down, nearly died then after a few burps it idled fine..
If i start it up and goose it once its fine..

I was thinking since I am currently running without a front bumper (in shop, hit deer) that my short ram is getting dirty, gone through water a few times??
Or MAF sensor?

any ideas?

that's funny as starting today my 2008 350z idles extremely rough! About every 30 seconds the idle drop and the engine almosts stalls.

I've disconnected the battery to reset the ECU with no success. I recently had a Viper alarm with remote start installed and don't know if that may be an issue although it's been 2 weeks since i had that done.

Any thoughts guys/gals?

Mine does that everytime I disconnect the battery. Takes about a month then goes away . Only started happening when I installed the JWT pop charger. Check your intake for leaks or dirty filters. Maybe ECU adjusting to new AF ratios?

ya my O2's have been bad for a while, I do have TP but no nonfoulers, check engine came on a few times but cleared it and never came back. my passenger airbag was just recently installed again and the shop said they tried to clear they airbag light but couldnt (Nissan only thing i guess) so i was thinking maybe they jumped a code or something in the process.

mine does the same thing. started a bit when I had just the pop charger and aam plenum spacer. now with the aps plenum, pop charger, test pipes and injen true dual, it is much worse. it starts fine when cold but afterwards you have to gas it just about everytime.

well the guys that did my airbag im sure unplugged the battery in the operation, so i am thinking it messed with the computer or something. it struggles to idle after a warm start. but after it burps once its fine. idk i dont really get it....

This sounds like the Cam Shaft Position Sensor. Have it checked. If the casing is cracked, oil gets in and screws it all up. It's easy to change or cheap to get installed.

Do you get an SES light?

Im having a similar problem. My check engine light came on and the car stalled on me twice yesterday, once at startup another time as I was going through an intersection. It seems to be getting worse because know you have to crank it longer to start it up, and it stalls more often then before. Anyone figure this problem out?

This does sound like a cam position sensor, the cam sensor tells the injectors and coils when to fire when it loses its reference the ECU gets confused and the car stalls. It would also explain the hard start ups. Go by autozone get them to pull a code and post what they give you.

^ Thats exactly what my buddy thought the problem was. It even feels like it lost some power. I'll get a code pulled asap, hate driving a car thats not working right around.

Mine does the same thing after a warm start. It started doing it after I installed my plenum spacer. I don't have a engine light, I don't know what it could be.

^ sounds like you got a different problem, not to sure what it could be though. Maybe something to do with your idle being to low, dirty air filter just throwing ideas out there.
