Default airbag flashing problem + horn not working... help!

Hi,

i have performed a search on the forum and found out that one could clear the light with the diagnostic procedure...
however, after putting it into the diagnostic procedure, i still could not take the flashing light off. the light pattern in diagnostic mode was

long pause -> long light -> pause pause -> blink blink

does anyone know what this means?

also, i have brought it into the dealership for service and they ran a computer scan and i copied down what was written

B1052
Driver airbag module (short)

they have hence quoted me the following prices
Airbag Module +Wiring
1080 GBP

and i also have a problem with the horn! it does not make any sounds!!!

is my car okay to drive with the flashing airbag sign? will airbags still deploy?

My airbag sensor is busted. I just took it to the dealers ship and they are ordering a replacement. I asked the same thing, if it's safe to drive, and they said yeah it's just the sensor. Your airbag shouldn't deploy just while driving, as most airbags need an actual collision to work. If it's a sensor issue you should be fine. The question you need to ask whoever looked at your car is that if you DO get in a wreck, will they deploy.

I have the same problem as you. Airbag light flashes and horn does not work.

If the airbag light is flashing, that means if you get into an accident, they will not deply.

order the driver airbag module and replace it.. u can diy or go to some local shop.. they will do it cheaper... find a junkyard and get your part or go to the stealership...

but fix it my friend.. your life is more important then money.. u can always earn money.. but cannot earn your life...

Did you solve the problem yet? What part did you replace?
