Replacing Window Trim?
So this happened the other day. Not a big deal but it pisses me off. The plastic tab that screws this part down broke so it just stays popped up like this. When I try and push it down it's actually quite difficult as this thing is under a lot of tension. Has this happened to anyone?
I'll probably just go to nissan and replace it, any idea how much? Part number?

when i got my z used mine was glued. the stealership actually did it. hah. i broke it again, and replaced. it. now mine is broken AGAIN. its just a cheap piece of plastic and keeps breaking. im assuming from catching the door on my pants or something. its not a cheap part either
I had the same problem. Superglue didn't work. Double sided tape didn't work....

Hey guys thanks for taking a look at this thread...im not 100% sure if this is where it belongs, but im hoping so.
I digress, My drivers side window trim has a clip, that basically holds it on/down onto the door from the inside above the door handle...its broken there fore causing my trim to look bent, sitting about one half inch above where it should...I looked all over online for the clip, and couldn't find it...Im hoping someone here has the answer. It cant be a very rare occurance, because about 50% of the z owners i contact in person are having the same issue....
Many thanks

If so, I had this problem. it was an easy fix/install.

there has got to be a cheaper alternative to fix this, and I would think there has to be a better constructed way as well. im going to put my thinking cap on, and see what I can come up with.

Good luck finding the replacement clips... I know how annoying an issue like that can be.
It seems like pretty much every plastic clip in the door is pretty weak. Like, I looked at one the wrong way when I was replacing my window motor and the ****er broke.

I may be off here but can't you simply replace the grommet/screw that adheres the piece to the door assembly?

The screw in question is part code #80820E in the diagram above. If this is the screw that you guys are referring to then it's seriously an 82 cent part
