I need to replace my air filter, what are everyone's thought on Fram vs dealer filter?

They are both paper and I would think Fram maybe better than stock...I'm not willing to go with K&N or any oil treated filter at this point, I had experience where oil got into my air intake in past cars.

I have K&Ns on my Harley and my "G". Both work great. Wouldn't use anything else. I use Fram on my truck (Paper) and my wife's Camry. Unlike their Oil filters, they look pretty much like the stock filter. They Camry's is a foam paper combo. I would think it's made to the same specs. as stock. If you want paper, I wouldn't hesitate use it.

Get the K&N. You'll never have to buy another filter again

 

As I have said before, I discovered oil in my intake after using K&N. So, I imagine this oil must gradually become loose getting into the intake. That's why, I'm looking for non-oil based filter.

 

Some K&N filters come "over oiled" from the factory. Just make sure no oil runs off the filter and you'll be fine otherwise stick with the Nissan OEM filter.
