I can't seem to loosen the tension pulley for my AC belt. I turn it left and it the bolt gets tight. Same thing happens when I turn it to the right. Seems like the pulley does not slide down at all. Am I missing somthing? My serp belt came off without issue.
Did you loosen the nut on the pulley itself? That serves as a lock to keep the adjustment from slipping. You have to loosen the nut on the pulley then you can loosen or tighten the tension bolt from up under the car.
Ok that what I thought. I ended up removing the bracket cause I couldn't get a good grip on that nut without stripping it. I have to put it in a vice and try it like that.
