Default keyless entry problems

i searched and found only a few threads that would probably help me but didnt in the end... i tried to reprogram my keyfob as it stopped working a couple of days ago.. i did the "put the key in the ignition 6 times within 10 seconds and the put it in acc" thing many times and it didnt work.. i thought the battery on my old keyfob went out but i tried my backup keyfob (which is hardly ever used) and it didnt work as well... anyone know if there is a fuse for the keyless entry module and where it is located? i was thinking maybe the fuse is blown. i really dont want to purchase another keyfob from nissan. if this doesnt work i may just go for a compustar alarm/keyless entry for my car. any help is appreciated thanks!!

there was a fuse on my aftermarket alarm/remote start that caused the same problems.

So it may be a fuse but I have no idea which one it would be or if that indeed is your problem.

but what makes me wonder is that my backup keyfob is HARDLY ever used and that itself cant be programmed... i will try to take it to the dealership and see if they will reprogram free of charge... but if not anyone else have an idea what it could be or where the fuse is located? thanks
