Changing a bulb in a Z
Hey, i have a 2005 Nissan 350z (roadster).
I need to change a bulb, and i know that all of you know your cars rly well, so you obviously know what the light looks like ...
How the hell are we suppose to change a bulb? I was looking for screws or a way to take the plastic cover off, and i didnt find any solutions , so i didnt wanna try anything.
So please let me know if there is a way ... I know there is, but how ?
If your not sure, go see in your Z, ull see what im talking about.
thanks a lot

Marchockey, this bulb is available at any auto parts store and is listed as a DE3175. When removing the plastic lens cover, as per the picture so kindly supplied by DavesZ, it will be easer to pry off without damage if you push and hold down the other side of the lens cover. (As in turning on the light).
This is an odd torpedo shaped bulb with the electric contacts on either end, a very old fashioned looking contraption. Just for the hell of it, I checked, and sure enough it’s the same bulb as used in the dome light of grandpa’s old Nash Metropolitan. Quite adequate for a sedate Met driver, but not for a gallant young man-about-town like yourself!
This tubular little bulb measures 1.25 inches (or 31mm) long and luckily, some super bright led replacements are available. Stay away from the ebay cheapies and look of an all-metal-base, unit with a full one watt draw. The light output is three or four times that of grandpa’s bulb and has a perfect spot focus.
