HI! New to the sight just bought a salvaged but beautiful 03 350z track edition. First thing was i noticed there are a few different things not working electronically inside the car.. Now i know newer nissans are very very very sensitve to wiring aftermarket junk in them like radios/alarms and what not. So first things first i got all the interior ripped out ripping out all the aftermarket junk in it witch is a TON of stuff.

Anyways i noticed someone replaced the volt guage and oil pressure guage with aftermarket ones but left the info guage so to my surprise i tore it out and it works great but its not hooked up to the factory plug at all. It has a jumper harness directly connected to the guage with no plug and then runs back to a big black box and then runs back and connects to the factory plug that the guages used to hook up to.. Now does anyone have any clue to what this thing is?? Ever heard of this?? Thank you!

haha!! you never know! Im waiting for my replacement stock guages to come in so i can get rid of this thing and make sure everything works without it.
