Default Blown rear diff bushing

Just found that my rear diff bushing is blown, I can tell because the black silicone has run down the diff cover and on my exhaust pipe.
My question is I don't feel any difference in the way the car drives, I daily drive it and really don't beat on it much.
Can I wait to replace it or is it something that needs to be done asap?
I have search and there are plenty of DIY's but no real answers.

Google SPL Suspension or just Contact Kuah@splparts.com, he is a sponsor on this website and then you will see that SPL Parts makes a whole rear differential solid bushing kit

Most people drive their Z with blown rear differential mounts and not even know it.

Mines was blown for who knows long, you can't tell a differences driving daily.
It really depends on how long you planning to wait, the others mount start to stress to take up the slack. To much movement is also not good for the axles.

Also, changing is a pain in the ***.

What are the symptoms of blown diff bushings? I think might be shot but who knows?

look under the rear if you see what looks like something has leaked on your diff cover that's it.

It's like driving with any other failed component except
this one secures your pumpkin to your subframe 2 important pieces. It's not something
that should be ignored

I understand what you are saying, and I will take care of it . But after having it up on the lift it still looks like it is all together. it just leaked the silicone from the front side, the back side that you can see it is not all degraded and when i put pressure on the diff it looks like there is still a lot of suspension to the bushing.
And like I stated I don't feel or hear anything. If I did not get under the car to clean my exhaust I would not have seen it for another 1000 miles when I do an oil change.

If my bushings were to be worn, would there be any kind of noise? Sorry for all the questions, it's just that I'm trying to figure out a noise coming from the rear end... I took it to the dealer and they couldn't replicate the noise...

For a daily driver, I'd just remove the washer, dig out the end of the rubber piece with a Dremel tool, clean the inside where the oil was, shoot it full of Shoe Goo, reinstall the washer, and drive on.

That's gotta be better than the OEM part that failed, and removing the whole thing to replace it with a really nice solid unit is just too much trouble. It's not likely the differential will fall out.

NOOO. Bite the bullet and get the solid bushings. I put in the Sikky one's or get the SPL . But don't put shoe goo in it, please.

I just had mine go out this morning. I went to my Nissan Dealership and they said that it was covered under warranty!! I know that the solid ones are superior, but you cant beat free parts and free labor!
Its worth a phone call to check to see if you're covered.

How did you find that it had gone out? Were there any symptoms other than the fluid leaking out?

Is Nissan going to replace the entire rear cross-member under warranty? I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with a cheaper fix when they're paying for it. Please let us know what they actually do.

Well, besides the fluid leaking and the bushing resting lower than normal, you can feel some more vibration in the rear of the car.

They will be replacing the entire cross member. I couldn't believe it either! They do not sell the bushing as a standalone part, it comes pre embedded into the cross member. You can always go with the CNC T6 Aluminum replacement offered by SPL.

I will keep you updated on what happens.

I went with the SPL bushing and I have no complaints at all. A little noisier than stock(obviously), wasn't too difficult to install (just time consuming), and I don't have to worry about it failing.

Any limit to year or mileage? I would have it done just for fun.. would be easier to remove the bushings on a whole new piece!
