Help...Just Bottomed Out
Just got back from scraping the sh&t out of the bottom pulling out of a damn parking lot.
I just got under the car with a flashlight one of the metal "mesh" connectors following the Cats is all frayed up bad. Was still hot so didn't try to touch it to see if there were any actual holes or anything.
But can someone tell me if fraying these things is a bad thing or will it be fine and should I just stop worrying?
Please see in the pic below, look inbetween point 3 and 4 the "mesh" looking connectors from the two tubes leading to the one:

Thanks for the quick reply. I had the windows down in the garage and listening for an unusual sound but it sounded normal to me.
Will probably get under it tomorrow and see what it really looks like cause it really is frayed with pieces of the tubing sticking out all over...

I'll definitely PM you if I'm going to need the part after I get under the car tomorrow.

Just came back from bringing it to the dealer, figured since I was only 200 miles away from an Oil Change, might as well bring it in and see what they said. It's fine. Thanks for the part offers though
But....
I now have another problem, on the way back from the dealer the below story happened which I'm opening up in another post. Not my weekend for the Z. Can anyone help with the below issue?
Long story short, just hit a piece of metal that was kicked up infront of me on 75. Have two scratches in on the drivers side now and one is definitely through the paint.
Can anyone point me to a body shop they know is good, reasonable cost wise and will have no problem in matching factory paint? (Silverstone)
