Default Clutch problem

My clutch pedal went to the floor and stuck when I was shifting into 6th at a high RPM. No loud noises. My clutch fluid was below the min mark and the pedal moves freely but will not return when pushed to the floor. Any suggestions?

What year is the car

07 and 08 its usually a failed throwout/slave
03 to 06 its commonly dirty fluid, and or a failed clutch master.

Well if your fluid is below the minimum, try refilling the reservoir first, pump the clutch about 30 times and see what happens. If that doesn't work it could be what terrasmak mentioned.

Wow, so many people having this problem. It's occuring on a weekly basis now. Basically do what Terrasmak suggested. I would start with the cheapest method as usual. Replace clutch fluid first and bleed it. If that doesn't work it's either CMC or CSC.

You did mention that your fluid is a the minimum. Check for a leak in your clutch line.

Thanks for the help guys.. unfortunately I got my car jacked up after work and took a look at the slave and clutch fork. The slave is sitting at an angle and the fork has dropped about an inch. After looking around the forum I realize my problem is internal (pivot ball or throwout) so on to the next step. How hard would it be to drop the tranny with no lift?? By the way I have an 03 touring with ~102k miles. Thanks again
