Arrow Antifreeze Fluid Flush

I just bought a bottle of Purple Ice radiator additive.

Any water/antifreeze recommended fluid combination? Temperature here wont reach below 5°c and wont get higher than 27°c.

I just bought the 50/50 pre-mix Prestone stuff. Works perfectly fine.

now on a full coolant flush. what should i use? ive been looking around in the threads and havent seen any DIY coolant flush.
should i just use the nissan brand, distilled water and antifreeze, all 50/50?
i guess this link would have most of the answers. its a DIY to replace rad hoses but i also has what he used to refill the rad and how to bleed the system. thats the toughest part.

Agree. Put your worthless additives in the trash. This is antifreeze not rocket science.

Water Wetter's and things like that do show slight advantages, however they are just slight. As for the process mix these products as the manafacter recommends. As for the coolant flush... its pretty straight forward.

FLUSHING COOLING SYSTEM
1. Install reservoir tank if removed, and radiator drain plug.
CAUTION:
Be sure to clean drain plug and install with new O-ring.

If water drain plugs on cylinder block are removed, close and tighten them. Refer to
EM-144,
"ASSEMBLY"

.
2. Remove air relief plug on heater hose.
3. Fill radiator with water until water spills from the air relief hole, then close air relief plug. Fill radiator and
reservoir tank with water and reinstall radiator cap.
4. Run engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
5. Rev engine two or three times under no-load.
6. Stop engine and wait until it cools down.
7. Drain water from the system. Refer to

CO-10, "DRAINING ENGINE COOLANT" .
8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 until clear water begins to drain from radiator.

I'm doing my coolant flush tomorrow, and just wondering if it is necessary to remove the drain plugs from the block when doing a flush? The SM seems to make that optional.

If your referring to the freeze plugs... no you don't want to remove those. Yank the thermostat, drain the radiator and pull the upper radiator hose off and flush it.
