Default need help here

i have 2005 roadster & recently i notice increased n fuel consumption of my z. full tank will drives only 300 miles thats mean 15 mpg which s very low, n addition every time I accelerate little harder I smell unburned fuel.

I had scanned the ecu & they said it needs injectors service. they gonna remove the injectors & did pressure cleaning, cleaning manifold & TB, & changing the fuel filter.

I heard from some friends who have G35 that they got troubles with TB after doing this job, another friend said that he put two bottles of fuel system cleaner n the tank & he drove his car with speed 100 mph & it worked. others said its enough to clean the injectors by pressure & change the fuel filter without doin anything on TB.

in the user manual, they mentioned that its not recommended to put any injectors cleaner n the fuel tank. I took my car to the dealer & they refused to do any job for my car because its US specifications.

Im confused which job to do, can some one guide me?

& btw, my car has done 56000 miles. do u think its the time to change automatic transmission fluid?

thanx n advance

Waste of money. Gasoline is clean. You could go 200,000 miles without having to clean injectors.

In case you are still around this board, I think your friend talking about high idle after cleaning the throttle body. To avoid this, Disconnect the battery before you unplug the TB.

Good luck.

I did remove my TB many times before ( after disconnecting the battery's negative terminal ) , Never had the high idle issue. Also make sure to use TB cleaner.

Take a look at this Video,
