Unhappy 08 Roadster: Rear deck lid not Flush?

I "think" i've got a new issue....or maybe I just didn't notice it before? Dunno.....

Anyway, yesterday I noticed that the right hand side of the rear deck lid (the bit between the cabin and the boot) doesn't seem to sit flush with the boot

Looking at the left hand side, it's flush and the rubber seal "squashes" down nice and tight

Looking at the right hand side, it sits up about 5mm and the rubber seal is not squashed. This is with roof UP or DOWN.

The odd thing is, this is where the lid meets the boot, and so it's the HINGED edge, not the "opening" edge if you get what I mean.

Do other peoples sit flush?

Car is still under warrenty so if this isn't right, she'll be going back to the Dr's for a checkup

Do you have a rear spoiler install because that would add weigh to the lid same thing happen to mine.

I had a good look at this today and given it's the hindged edge, there doesn't seem anyway to "adjust" how the lid sits. There are a couple of bolts on one of the arms that allow for adjustment but not to how high or low it sits, but how square. Had a play but nothing that affected my issue.

It's actually sitting more flush than it was anyway so I'm chalking this minor blemish up to chassie flex on the roadster and nothing more.

Default You are not alone...

Ugame - funny you bring this up. I have an 08 Touring (14k miles) rarely driven because I have two other cars. Although mine is not a roadster, I noticed the exact same problem the other day while washing it. Not sure if it has been there all along or I just noticed it.

Haven't noticed any water problems or anything else because of it so I have come to the same conclusion as you.
