Default Transmission Problems?

I have no idea if this has been posted, but this comes as a suggestion from a WRX friend. In his manual it says not to put pressure on the stick once you shift into gear, doing so will be detrimental to the transmission. I'm not sure if this is in the manual, but just a suggestion. Maybe this is why so many manual transmissions are going out??

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm sorry to say this but....I think a lot of the tranny problem comes with Improper shifting methods?? our tranny are relatively frigile as compare to a S2000...shifting too hard (does not mean is faster) can result in a lot of problems.....just my 2 cents.

I have an automatic (don't laugh), but I thought it was strange how his owners manual (WRX guy) said not to put pressure on the stick after shifting. I wonder if this is the case for guys that had to replace their tranny multiple times on here? Hopefully more people will give feedback on their shifting style...
