Does this sound right? i got 2 creases in my R rear fender(courtesy of some A hole at a local parking lot...who left the scene of the crime by the time i returned) that the paintless dent repair guys couldn't fix, so i got an estimate at a local nissan dealer's bodyshop. The price i got was $680 for dent pulling/surface refinishing+fillers/ repainting of the existing fender. my understaning is that, the bodyshop will weld some metal studs to pull the dent and resurface the sheet metal. What do you all thing? price too high?

 

if you want it done correctly, that sounds about right. Shop around though, maybe you'll get a better deal. But do not put a price on car repair, you want it done right, not cheaply.

 

thanks... i checked out another chain of repair shops (Caliber Collision Center) and got quoted around 1K for the same job. Interestingly, the same chain of repair shops was investigated by California Bureau of Automotive Repair for fraud. Guess i'll stick with Nissan Dealer's bodyshop
