Default Anybody familiar with what this'll cost me?

So me and my friends went out to a restuarant tuesday night. I backed in next to my buddy's G35 and met them inside. We were all leaving giving farewell's in the parking lot. Me and my girl got in my car while Mr. G-Driver was really giving his girlfriend QUITE the goodbye in front of our cars. they thought itd be funny to bring the makeout sesh to my hood. Lip-locked they smashed onto the front of my car. Really Fukcing Funny. I had just come from a hockey game and it was late, i was tired as all hell, thought nothing of it and just drove away when they finally got off my car. Washing it yesterday i see a grapefruit sized dent, front and freakin center on my hood .
Naturally, I damn near passed out. I didnt even do anything to him, i just got into my car, thats it, and SMASH!...theyre on my hood. WTF?! the lack of respect is unbelievable. How much will he be paying for this?

God damned G-drivers ...

With a dent that size try using a plunger. It's worked for me in the past. If that doesn't work call a paintless dent repair shop, usually they can work it out for about $50 bucks or so.

did you tell your friend? hopefully his fat gf chips in!

your insurance comp might be able to assist as well. some insurance companies will waive the deductible if you go with paintless dent removal service. i know you can file a claim like this from hail damage too.

Do you have a girlfriend? If not, go tag his and call it even. He sounds like a douche.

Those types of people are the same mtfkrs that just fling their doors open and ding up other people's cars.....no respect at all, act like this is their world and nobody else exists.

PDR guy might be able to go through that little hole under the hood with some sort of tool maybe? That dent's not creased or deep at all, might be able to get that our yourself with some dent removal tools / plunger (as said before).

And yes that pops-a-dent does work, but only for certain types of dents that look to be easy to take out like the one you have i think.

You have two options:

1. Approach him again in a more sensible and less combative way.
2. Do the hospital bed thing and follow through with it.

Now, which seems more logical?

Good luck getting this resolved with as little violence and money spent as possible.

Yikes. Sounds like you need to burn that motha down to the ground, and fast!

Seriously though I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. I also would like to applaud your mature display of self-restraint- taking the high road in enraging situations like these may not be as satisfying as engaging in petty physical altercations with the offending party but believe me- it will pay off in the end

I'm sure that you've entertained this notion but will your insurance be able to cover the repairs? Even if it's just a fraction of the repair charges then I'd be satisfied on some level. If they are unable to compensate you in any manner then I second the idea of taking your car to a reputable body shop that specializes in dent removal. You'll be amazed at the caliber of work that some of these shops can perform. I remember reading a post on some car forum that illustrated the average cost of paintless dent removal and a 2" diameter dent removal runs about $125-$150 at your average body shop. This may seem pricey but hey- it's far cheaper than forking out $600 for a new hood from the dealership! (seriously- I was nerdy enough to look it up! http://bit.ly/lxW9ad)

Approximately how big is the dent's diameter, dude?

i have a very short temper and nothin means more to me than my cars. So i had very little restraint in my word choice. i calmly sent him the name of a PDR guy.

Imma lover not a fighter.

"it's complicated"

and i couldnt bring myself to do that to another car. I'd rather watch him hand a PDR guy money for my car then kick his in.

douche? yes. typical G driver, chin-strap and all.

Also when i parked next to him, i told my girl getting out of the car "be careful, dont hit the pretty car" in reference to his G. couple hours later thats what i get back.

I wanna say 4.5"-6". havent measured it. pics and video below give a pretty good idea of it. I havent even given insurance a thought. No way i can do that without parents finding out and we all know what a b!tch that can be. And my parents arent reasonable.
"WHY THE F*CK ARE YOU LETTING PEOPLE SIT ON YOUR CAR!!! WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!" and then i blame him to deflect the illgotten rage and they hate him but he's still my friend and it gets all hairy and awkward...
