Help with code P0340!!!
Im new here, ready a ton of threads on the code today. Went and bought the sensor, replaced it, and still having the same problem. I havent ran the codes again yet to see if it is still throwing the same one but there is no difference after replacing the sensor.
CEL and SLIP etc lights are on. Extremely hard starts but runs fine once going. DO i need to do anything else after installing the sensor? I just plugged it in and started it. Could it be the sensor magnet?
2003 stock except aem intake and exhaust

Thats cam sensor curcuit bank 1 (driverside I believe). The cheapest fix is to biy a cam sensor for bank 1, install it n get the code erase. If it comes back its the #4 cylinder misfiring.
every thread i read said bank one, this code, was passenger side.
I already replaced it. still getting same problem.
i doubt it is the cylinder since once it is started it runs fine.
anyone else????

whty and how would cylender 4 by miss firing and only throwing a p0340? i have this CEL 3 times in the past few months, but only after driving up into a location of higher elevation and driving around. feel the TB close and open up again, then feels like timing has advanced(limp mode). hard starting, but my idle is fine. check the code, erase, and the the car works fine when i get back home. slightly confused.
