Default driver's window

hi,
i bought a 2004 used 350z roadster back in april and i'm also new to this site so sorry if this question or problem has been asked. my problem/question is that my passenger window has gotten stuck about 7 times since i've had it. basically i'll try to roll it up or down but nothing happens. i thought it was the fuse but the passenger window works just fine. took to the mechanic and said it's the motor. the motor costs about $265 and i'm thinking about just replacing it even though like i said it's gotten stuck only about 7 times and i use the window all the time. i just don't want to get stuck at night and worrying about someone breaking into it. i've tried turning the car off and then back on and after a while it does work fine. but sometimes i turn it off and on and it still doesn't work. please help me out, i greatly appreciate it.

Common problem. The brushes in the motor are soft and wear out. I just got done installing new brushes in my driver side window motor. (You need to be able to solder to do this.) Azone can get rebuilt/refurb motors from Cardone 1 but the reviews I read weren't very good regarding long term reliability. Here is an article I found and used when I was having issues.
Cleaning might make it work for a short time but the brushes are probably worn out:

btw, I removed the glass from the slides and then pulled out all the window mechanics with the metal panel that bolts onto the door. Seemed like the easier way to get the motor out instead of trying to line up the tracks to the panel later.
