Default Problem with throttle past 4000-5000rpm...

Hey I was seeing if anyone had any suggestions for me here... I just traded my Si for a 2003 350z with bolt-ons and an aftermarket alarm system (scytek) And was pumped to get this car! But was so disappointed to find out after the fact that when you step on it going towards the 4-5k rpm zone you lose power...it kind of hiccups and feels like it loses its *****! Anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? so frustrating I don't know what the issue is... Other than that love the car!

probably a coil pack has probably gone bad, u should have a code come up soon, just keep hitting the dead spot a few times so the computer sees it, and set a code. whats the mileage of the vehicle, a throttle body would probably be a good idea too (easy to do and not too expensive.) the brushes in the motor get worn after about 80000mi, and performance can deminish.

Easiest and cheapest fix would be a can of MAF cleaner. Not guaranteed to fix it, but it cost about $3 at autozone, and could be your problem if it's stuttering & losing power. Take out two bolts, spray the ***** down, wait 30 secs, and put it back in. Also make sure you don't have a vacuum leak anywhere, and your intake isn't cracked past the MAF.

Could be a couple of issues as well as what people have already suggested.

Since you mentioned bolt ons, if you have a cold air intake, you may need to clean or replace the filter as well.

You may want to do a fuel injector clean as well.
