Coolant top off

Probably the dumbest question of the year, but can I simply top off my radiator fluid? The reservoir is completely empty and only fills a tiny bit when hot. Just want to make sure.

and yes go top it off now! there's a min and max line for a reason. make sure to use the right coolant mix!

OP: Fill it to about 1/2-way between min and max.
