Default Anyone else still having problems with tranny after getting 4th generation tranny?

I was wondering if anyone was still having a tranny issue (grinding & knochness)after installing 4th generation tranny.

After I installed another tranny, I did noticed that my gears were more smoother but I still have a grind from 1st to 2nd. especially whe the car is cold and knochness from 2nd to 3rd.
It seemed like its worse than my last tranny!

Also got clutch pedal assembly swaped.

Am I CRAZY? Am I the only one who is still having a tranny issue?

HELP HELP HELP

ssk0771,

I know you know this already, but you are NOT crazy! I am having the exact same problem as you. I have been driving stick cars since 1983 and this transmission is terrible. Like you, I have cd008 (the latest trans.) and it's no better at all from the other three I have had!

To be honest, I am getting pretty tired of this at this point. Performance Nissan has been fantastic and done more than I could ask, but Nissan has got to get a clue about this problem. It ruins the enitre driving experience.

What's your build date? Mine is Feb '03.

I hope someone comes up with something soon!

I got the same darn problems as you guys. That 1st to 2nd grind on this latest transmission!

I HATE these trannies... it was such a headache to get this thing replaced AGAIN... and it still isn't fixed...

STU E... are you gonna try to get NNA to buy back your car?

ssk0771 I just PM'd you...

Default In the process of working with Nissan now...

I don't know how this will turn out, but I am starting the process now. I officially don't have the requisite four problems with the same item, but I am trying anyway. I don't know what will happen, but I am going to do my best. If I get to four, I will just go the Lemon Law route.

Maybe Nissan knows what's wrong with a certain VIN range, etc. and the will just do the buy back (yeah right!).

I will keep everyone up to date,

Stu E.
