trunk problems
ok so i got the car a few weeks ago and the person said the keyless entry system wasn't programed or the controller was dead so i went to replace the battery and also had it checked it is sending a signal and all that but it wont open the car.
Now here comes the trunk problem i can open the trunk when i pull the cord in the strut brace but the soft button on the license plate doesnt work either...i was thinking hey it may be a fuse but where is this fuse located and which one of the 3 fuse boxes would it be i would really appreciate some insight on how to fix this. I tried searching but couldnt find anything and i have tried programing the remote oh and i also programmed the garage bit on the mirror the programing went smoothly but it wont open the garage
i have a 2005 350z performance edition

When you press your remote and/or press the button above the license plate,do you hear any hum,buz...any noise?
Could be your actuator is bad.It basically a solenoid that opens the latch that opens the hatch.
I've gone through two of them. Its a pretty common problem.
The part is pretty pricey. The fix is fairly simple.

There is a fuse box right in front of your battery in the engine compartment. There is one around the pedal area in the car where the kickpanel is. Not sure where others are. Fuse boxes have labels on the cover to tell which fuse is for what
