Default Help. Need to replace a piece but don't know what it is.

So apologies if this is a super simple question but I took my car to a friends shop today to take a look under and we found that the Y pipe had part of it scraped off. We also found a piece that had begun to rust and was bent.

I thought it would be a great excuse to replace the piece with something that seems much sturdier. The only problem is that I don't know what the piece is called to replace. The mechanic didn't know the exact name either so he couldn't bring it up on the computer.

Pic below.

Its the flat metal shaped like a "W" with holes.

Thanks again for your help.

Just for kicks, the raped Y pipe.

Thanks Dave, thats exactly what I needed so the mechanic can search it up in his parts inventory.

What after market parts do you know that could replace that piece? Or is stock likely the best route?

I was looking at the Gt spec 6 point ladder brace and Lower arm bar. I am pretty certain that I am wrong but would this be a good replacement or something to have? We have a lot of shitty roads and illegal speed bumps. I want something that would protect my undercarriage if possible.

Thank again.

Haha yeah. I actually have a 5zigen racer ZZ spec catback sitting in my living room. I'm in the process of looking for a ti coater b/c I want to coat the tips to give it that burnt look. I would rather do it than have to take a torch to it and have it oxidized. In either case I want to figure that out while its still nice and clean before putting it on the car. Will need to research Y pipes though. Any notable ones to get me started?

I just bent this on a manhole cover at the top of a a stip center driveway. I was going to just order it and replace it myself but since my wife is determined that I take it to a shop, I'm going to check into getting the whole exhaust replaced (since she doesn't think I'm qualified to do it).
