lower wishbone

Hi,

I noticed that the lower front wishbone of my 2008 Z has a sort of grease nipple about 1 inch long. Can anyone tell me what's the use of it? could it be that this lubricates the ball joint. Thanks.

Those are the steering stops. Turn your steering wheel completely to one side and you will find that the wheel on the side of the direction you are turning towards is resting on that stop.
