Default Tempermental TPMS Sensor

I just started having an issue with one of the rear TPMS sensors this driving season. When I drive around town I do not seem to have a problem, but on the highway the light will start flash, then go steady like the sensor is not there. The weird part is after a while it will go out and start to read again. This can happen multiple times depending on the trip length.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is it just a bad sensor, I have never had this problem since I got the car 5 years ago.

I have the same issue, but my TPMS are very old. Came with the wheels I bought from someone. I think the battery life may be going out, since these sensors usually last ~ 5 years.

Mine kept going out in the winter, but now that it's getting hot again in TX, the light went away after being reprogrammed. It's been off for several weeks, but 2 days ago, they came back on and went away. Very annoying.

If it bothers you a lot, just go on ebay and find some replacements that look like the Schreider sensors. For all I know, I'm using the blue ones which came on the 03-06 350z in my 07 and they sync fine.

I figured it was the battery in one of the sensors, since the car is 6 years old now. They are the OEM sensors still.

I am getting due for tires soon, so I will just replace them.

Hate to state the obvious, but you did check your tire pressures, right?

Different issue not low pressure, its no pressure reading " -- "

My front right one does this randomly, only on the highway when at speeds changing lanes, i rarely use the highway so it doesnt happen often

wonder if my battery is going out, stock wheels (2004) been doing it since November though
