Default Broken Door Handle..Need Help!!!

So my handle broke and I need to fix it ASAP. The first picture is what has broken. There was a spring and a plastic cylinder but the plastic broke so the spring doesnt have tension so the door handle doesnt work.

My question is do I need a new handle or can I just order the part from CourtesyParts.com. Its the driver side door handle that has broken. I have attached another picture of the door assembly for some additional help.

Thanks

I had this problem too. I just bought a whole new handle. That plastic piece is part of the handle so you would have to replace the handle itself. But fear not cause its fairly easy to replace . btw, I think I bought my handle for like 70 bucks. It happens from constantly letting the handle slam.

Yea, as m3 said, you want to avoid pulling the handle and then just letting go abruptly. This causes a lot of vibration right on that plastic piece and will possibly cause it to break.

part numbers:
driver LH: 80606
Passenger RH: 80605

current cost is 65 without shipping.
