Default Clutch problem?

hello i have a 2003 350z. I bought the car at 56k and has 70k now. The clutch has been replaced by previous owners and they told me a flywheel was replaced. I do not know what kind they put in. When i give my car a lot of gas my rpm's will rise then drop down and finally catch and it sounds like im riding the clutch, but im not. Also when idling you can hear my throwout bearing making a lot of noise. I do not smell any clutch fumes, or shifting problems. Do i need a new clutch or can i just replace the bearing?

Also what do you people think on stage 4 clutch's. Are they hard to push down for daily driving?

What exactly do you need a stage 4 for unless you have FI? Bragging rights? Yes, your clutch is toast and you will need a new throwout bearing also.

throwout bearings make noise when you are sitting and push the clutch in and it makes noise. If you are just driving along and it's making noise then it isn't the throwout bearing since the throwout bearing does not have load on it while the clutch pedal is out.

So that's how you test for that.

Like stated about the rpms rising, sounds like clutch slip. JWT combo is a great stock like feel and will hold stock block boosted power with no problem so bolt ons are no issue. Anything more than that is over kill and it will drive much harder than stock.
