2006 touring 78K


last week i started my Z and there was a loud knocking noise coming from my engine bay. i cant pin point but it sounds like its coming directly under my block head cover. @ idle theres like 4 knocks per sec but it increases with my rpms. i replaced my oil (oil was dark brown) and i put in a stabilizer to help cancel metal on metal contact. it took like 3 days for the knocking to quiet down but its still there. i have no idea what this is. ive heard this happens to Z's.

anyone have any clue what problem im having? anyway to fix it?

 

It sounds like you need a mechanic to have a look at your car.

 

Bad gas? - especially since gas could be sketchy from the hurricane in NJ. Using premium?
