Default Help! Rough idle, CEL, and car dies when clutch engages at high speeds.

Hello, so for about a month now there has been a rough idle with my car. When the AC is on the idle sits at about 800 RPMs and then dips to 200-100 RPMs and when the AC is off it sits at 600-500 RPMs and then dips to the same 200-100 RPMs but will take a little longer to come back up to the 600 RPMs. This happens randomly at times. I also have a problem that when i am going over 65 mph and put the clutch in or shift into neutral the car will drop to low rpms and then die. I have no other information about this situation other than the CEL P0430 (catalyst below threshold (bank 2)). Obviously it could just be that i need to replace the CAT but i wanted to look at different options to see if i could save money and time. Also the only mod that i have on the car is a POP Charger Intake. If anyone has any ideas then please do respond.

Thanks you
Justin C.

what year is the car, when it dies does it take a minute to get it started again, have you checked to see if there are any more codes?

Put the stock air box back in and see if that solves your problem.

also check to make sure you dont have a vacuum leak somewhere, like where the pop charger tube goes into the intake tube

When you installed the pop charger, did you disconect your battery for 15-30 minutes? I heard people had the same issue when installing a pop charger and not disconecting the battery. Look up JWT Pop charger instal, you might find the thread to fix your problem.

It is a 05 and no i can ether put it back into gear and it will jump the car or i can keep it in nutrale and just crank the keep back and it will start. There are no other check engine codes that go with this. Now to throw that code dosnt the o2 sensor have to pick up that the CAT is failing? So technically the o2 sensor could be the problem correct?
