Default Excessive Heat from Shifter Area?

hello all, i am a new owner of a 2003 350z enthusiast, and i have a couple questions.

the first question is this. when i drive my automatic 350z i feel a lot of heat coming from the gear box area, where the P, R, N, D symbols are. is this normal?

the second is about the gauges. what oil pressure should my car be at when cruising at 75-80mph

and the third is this. whenever i fuel up i cant fuel more than 10-12 gallons. when i go to turn the car on it only reads 3/4 full. what could be wrong?

yes the heat is normal, the Z is a small car so you will feel and hear a lot of heat and engine/transmission noise.

the oil pressure depends on what oil you use, I run mobile 1 and at that MPH range my oil Pressure is at like 65 or some where around that area

and your gas problem is a issue with the car it self mines does the same thing from time to time... just turn the gas pump handle upside down when you put gas in the car and it will fill up all the way...

The transmission tunnel is hot. This is the location of the catalytic converters. Nissan saves weight by not adding 100 pounds of insulation.
