CEL on throwing p0021 code..need help
Hi. I recently bought a 2004 350z coupe with 84k miles on it. When I got it, it was throwing both p0021 and p0011 codes. I replaced all 3 sensors with oem parts, that did nothing. I then replaced the timing chain, tensioners as well as the water pump while I was in there, and that got rid of the p0011 code. I need some help to get rid of the p0021 code. I have no idea what to do next and even asked a local shop about it and they had no clue.
When the car is at normal operating temperature, my oil pressure at idle fluctuates between 13 and 30psi, also, my rpm dips to about 500 then back up to 8-900 at idle.
I've searched and read all of the threads containing the p0021 code and have found nothing that helps. If I may have missed something, feel free to point me in the right direction as I really need to get this thing fixed so I can get it inspected and get tags. Otherwise it will continue to look pretty in my driveway

I'm throwing the same code, I'll let you know once I figure mine out. So far, my research has concluded:
- Dirty oil
- VTC solenoid needs to be replaced
- Cam seal
- Rear timing cover gasket
I was told it would most likely be #3 or #4. I had my oil changed, vtc solenoid replaced, no go. There's a thread on G35Driver where an Infiniti Mechanic mentions he's seen P0021 on vehicles with the leaking rear timing cover gasket. Apparently they put a paper gasket of some sort in the previous years, but Nissan has released a metal replacement since. Clear your code before inspection and I think you should be fine. I don't know how inspections are in your state but here they just check your readiness codes (emissions), no CEL light and you're good to go.

My CEL light comes on as soon as I finish the trip for the ecu to be ready. I went yesterday after reset and a bit of driving and failed because it wasn't showing ready. Just got back from the DMV. They gave me a 10 day trip permit. So I have 10 days of legal driving again.
I forgot to mention that I flushed the engine 4 times and now my oil is so clean it is nearly impossible to read the dipstick. lol
