Ok so I'm new to the forums and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, redirect me if so. I have a 2004 track edition Z, and the person i got the car from had replaced the ECU and from research its not the same product number, its for like a base. He also messed the wiring harness up pretty bad but i've solved those issues. But now the ECU is fried and im wondering do i have to get the exact model and trim ECU or can i get like the same year base and have nissan flash it over to my VIN? I know the correct code for the track edition is CE806 and there are no used ones to be found online and the best priced new ones are around $800 so im just trying to save a little money if possible.
