A year later? Best guess is you're out of luck, and it's best to just take the lesson. If the car is collateral on a loan, and the bank paperwork shows the value based on it being a 35th, you might have a little leverage, but that's a real long-shot.

I doubt any used car dealer would have any idea what the car actually is. The dealer could have took the car in trade believing it to be an anniversary model.
This is very true! There are a lot of dealers advertising Touring models as Grand Touring. I did my research and brought it tot their attention when I went to look at the car. Ended up getting it cheaper. Again as my other fellow 350Z owners have stated. You can tell pretty much by the options on the car.

Good luck to you.
I often find Base models labeled as Touring models, etc... on the internet, dealerships don't know what they have or are just looking to take advantage of someone who doesn't know what to look for.

Just as a little update...I have filed a complaint with the missouri dept of revenue who just sent it to the criminal investigations dept and assigned an investigator for charges of false advertising. As you guys have said that this is not a rare thing, I hope this helps others who are in my situation.

Oh I absolutely love it! The most fun I car I have ever owned....but it doesn't haul lumber very well or get around in the snow. Since I no longer have a company truck to use im having to sell it before winter. Hopefully, though, in a couple years ill be able to afford a summer driver in addition to the truck and will try to find a 370.

So after a LONG saga I am happy to say that I just got a call from the Dept of Revenue investigator and he is suggesting that the dealership be forced to pay me back the difference in the values of the two trim packages. The lawyers have the final say, but I have a good feeling it will be fine. He called the dealership and suggested we work it out before it gets processed with them. If they don't pay me they will have their dealers license suspended.

Good for you, and it's nice to see your persistence paid off, and stealerships need to take responsibility once in a while. I hope it continues to go your way and there is a final resolution soon.

That's great!
Good luck on finding a 370z when the time comes.
I think someone who just posted about buying a 35th Anniversary had the same thing happen to them, their car is missing everything that would make it a 35th Anniversary, you may want to lend them a hand since you had success, their post is titled "35th Anniversary".
