Default I F'ing Hate Mice

Some of you may know that mice ruined my 1990 Ford Ranger right about this time last summer when I left it in a barn for a week.

This time they got to my 350z. I had not driven it in a few days (It was parked in my garage) and when I went to drive it sunday there was a little bit of a smell. Honestly I thought it could have been one of the cleaning products I used on the interior or something. Today it was a full on stench. Dead Mouse. I decided it was coming from the back, tore out every piece of plastic I could (Lord help me get them all back on..) and found a mouse nest. With no mouse.

I pinpointed it to being somewhere in the area or below the right side of the brace that goes along the back (Pic included of area) my question is, is there any way that you guys know of to gain access to the inside of that area?

Thanks

is there a reason you are wanting in there?

If you are determined.. then start removing all the bolts I see in the pic.. remove piece by piece

I'd try looking under car to see how it got up there, try compressed air.. if no avail, then do as I said, remove all bolts and pieces in the picture, GL

Think, John might have had a rough day.. he is usually very nice, sarcastic, and helpful.

instead of gaining access there, u can get the mouse out of there(if its alive). if there is absolutely no way to get to that area, then i d get one of those smoker bombs( they have those for ants and stuff, i'm sure they have em for mice also) and put one inside the car or something, that should get the mouse out of there if its alive, but if its dead, then u prolly gonna have to cut thru the metal and weld it back after - just my opinion.

Cleaned up and moved to the Maintenance & Repair section, this is a "play nice" section so no more warnings.

I also hate mice I have like 10 traps set-up around my small house to keep them at bay. Ive heard they dont like pepperment oil so I also put cotton ***** soaked with that around. ( also smells good ) but probably has little effect. Are you trying to gain access to that area to find the corpse or is that were you think its coming in? Dont think its accessible. I would leave it all open for a bit and see if the smells go away.

Good luck

Moth ***** use em. They do smell bad so don't put them in the car spread them under the car and around the wheels so the mice can't climb onto the car. Have stored boats and cars (uncle lives next to a farm feild) never had a mouse get into anythin

That sucks dude. Above all, I would think getting stuck with mice would be the worst. Although...snakes would be pretty shitty as well. I'm sure you've looked, but is it possible get up into that area through the wheel well? GL man

Good reviews on that stuff...

But back to the good stuff, I mean that real good good
By Your Neighbor Mike - February 5, 2015
Hey gang Mike here! So just want to start off by saying I'm 4' 11," 33.5 years old, and single!!! Ya never know when your future wife is reading Amazon reviews. But back to the good stuff, I mean that real good good, RAT SORB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So initially I started stuffing dead things in my wall for the insulation. What you call cheap, I call practical. But yeah bout 4 months into the wall stuffing, this rank smell overtook my entire house/apartment/lean to. At first, I though it was my Chinese neighbors making dim sum, but then I remembered I ran them out of town years ago. So my next step was to lick everything in my house to try and locate what tasted like the smell. Sure enough, it was the walls. So after some tries at arson to burn the smell away, I turned to my trusty friend Amazon. It did not disappoint, within ten minutes I had eight shipments of Rat Sorb coming my way. Suffice to say, my walls now smell like a fusion of Rat Sorb and dead rat, possum, squirrel, mole, tucan, guinea pig, opossum, and something that kinda looks like a Taco Bell quesaritto go figure? If just for the smell I probs only would have given Rat Sorb 3 stars, but considering its a great cologne and chaser for my turpentine cocktails 5 stars all the way!!!!

Well, this story ends well. I never did get the mouse out. I tried various ways of locating it and didn't get anywhere. I finally just finished removing all of the interior from the back and set up a fan in the back of it for a few days. Yesterday I unplugged the fan and couldn't smell anything so I put it all back together today.

All back together
