Alright looking for some opinions after the Nissan Dealership I went to was very little help. My car was parked on the street, and the road flooded from backed up sewer drains. The water was up to the doors probably a good ten inches of water on the road. I went to start up the car the next day it was dead, and I jumped it then replaced the battery. After doing this the car sounded terrible like something was blocking the air flow and I couldn't really go over 10 mph. The dealership is saying that I need a new transmission and that there is no water damage to the vehicle... The codes that came up on the vehicle is p1065 and here is the write-up that they gave me.. Just looking for some opinions on what everyone thinks it can be. Thank you to all who help!
Why not call your insurance company and let them deal with it? They'll send an adjuster out to look at the car, and hopefully you'll have some imdependent proof of the flooding in the area where you parked the car.
The adjuster is going by the word of the Nissan Dealership, he said I can take it to someone else to look at so I was looking for some insight on what exactly to look for.
Carpet on passenger side where the water was highest felt damp, but it had also been about a month since it happened. The car was sitting in the garage for almost three weeks before they even looked at it. Part that confuses me most is that they're saying it needs a new transmission but yet no transmission codes came up.
