Default headlights on = nothing over 4500 rpm

Anyone have the same issue? The Chevy dealer I bought it from can't figure out the issue so they have taken it to Nissan.Once the headlights turn on the power is gone. Floored the acceleration is that of a cheap 4 cylinder. Wont go above 4500 RPMs. Turn the lights off its back immediately. Also, once the lights turn on the cruise will not set...just flash the set light. No codes or check engine light. 2003 350z touring with 67k miles on it. Did it as I drove off the lot. Owned it a week and haven't even had it home yet. Help would be appreciated. And I searched the forum. It has stock tail lights and the factory HID headlights. Thanks

HA! That was my first action. However, I quickly learned from my attorney that the term "as is" is a binding agreement no matter what happens. Even if you are pulling out of the lot and the tire falls off. You bought it. I will say the dealer is doing the right thing and standing behind the car when they don't have to. But I also want to be educated enough to make sure it is fixed or know what to do if they tell me they cant figure it out. Especially if it happens again in the future.

Off the top of my head, look for something in common between the headlamps and the throttle. Looking at the schematics in the Service Manual, the headlamp relays and the throttle control motor relay are on the IPDM E/R and they all receive power through the same circuit. When the headlamp relay closes, it may cause a voltage spike or voltage drop at the throttle control motor relay that's causing your problem. Just a WAG.

Update. After13 days the dealer couldn't figure it out. Came home and pulled the tail light, someone had put led bulbs in. Replaced the bulbs and the car is back to running like a champ!!
