Possible blown fuse?
Hey guys!
After a couple years of prowling around the site for quite a few answers, I thought I'd join the community and make my first post.
So here's a deal
I bought a new head unit because the stock unit was less than impressive
The problem is I'm very spacey and forgot to do a handful of things like wrap the unused wires with electrical tape as well as disconnect the battery.
I installed it the first time and everything was working fine but after noticing a crooked faceplate harness, I pulled it out to adjust it.
Upon plugging everything back in, one of the unwrapped wires tagged what I'm assuming was another unwrapped wire and caused a spark.
Now there are a few strange things going on.
The stereo isn't showing any power whatsoever
Also, the lights that I'd normally see inside the dash when using things like my turn signals and highbeams are no longer working even though they are functioning just fine on the exterior.
It also will not keep my settings for things like the dimmer on the dash lights, the trip A. and B. Mileage gets set to 0 each time I turn the car on.
Now, I'm hoping that I just blew a couple fuses because I don't want to have to shell out the cash for expensive electric work.
So I suppose my questions are, what is the likelihood of it just being a fuse or two? And if it is, which fuses should I be looking at and are they located in the passenger fuse box or the engine fuse box?
Thank you for reading and sorry about my long, drawn out post.

Should be a 10amp fuse located in the interior box by drivers kick panel. If you look directly at the fuse box (as in head vertical head to roof and jaw to floor. the fuse should be the 10amp one that is directly under and one to the left of the little fuse puller claw thingy storage spot. Controls most of the dash lights and little gizmo settings like that. If not, check all the fuses, sounds like one is blown. If you possibly know the colors of the wires that touched that would be great as well! And yes, I'm gonna ask......Did you use the metra harness when you did the install? Or did you cut the factory harness?

Yes, I used the Metra harness that I got through Crutchfield. Why? Am I supposed to avoid them?
No no you're good. Just have seen too many people think they were smart by saving $12 and cutting the stock connectors off to wire radios in that way lol. Yeah check the fuse I pointed out. Also, cap them loose wires. Which wires are loose exactlyour? If you remember which ones they were or the colors I can get a better idea of what might have blown!
