Default P0171 & p0174

Hey Guys,

Wanted to reach out here and see if any of you guys might have had the same issue. I've looked at all the different posts about these two trouble codes and have used them to diagnose the car a little bit but it hasn't completely fixed the issue.

I have a 2004 350z enthusiast and it has a rough idle when warm as well as the oil pressure drops to nearly empty 1500miles into a new oil change. this has happened twice now. Since then and after checking out the forums I have done the MAF cleaning, Throttle Body cleaning, and replaced my PCV valve.

This has helped a little bit, but I still have the rough idle. I am getting way better gas milage and the oil doesn't look like its dropping but I haven't drove 1500 miles yet since adding 2 quarts of oil after it initially dropped.

As for the codes, I recently changed my Coil Packs, spark plugs, valve covers and gaskets after my car started misfiring. I also had to change out the Cats since they went bad, now running UR High Flow Cats

I'm wondering if the codes which came on separately then went away on their own can be because of o2 sensors starting to fail? That would be my next guess but would love some input.

Other mods include Z1 Plenum Spacer, Injen Cold air intake, Nismo Flywheel and Clutch.

This what happens when Z owners made unnecessary mods on their cars.

make* anyway, recently spoke with Rob Fuller of the Z Car Garage out here in San Jose and he recommended I start by switching to a conventional Valvoline 10w30 oil, I am currently using Royal Purple 5w30 and then go from there.

Will update the thread once I get a couple oil changes in with the new oil!
