Default Help my door won't open!!!

So my lock actuator has been messed up so I leave my car door unlocked pretty much wherever I go. Yesterday I accesently locked it and when I was trying to unlock it something snapped inside and broke. I looked inside with the window down and I see the rod that is broken. I have tried using a coat hanger to unlock and I was going to take my door panel off but I can't from the inside. My door cannot open and I don't know what to do please help!

Edit: closer examination shows that the rod that connects the lock has broke off the handle. The other rod that actually opens the door is fine but my car door is locked and I don't know how to unlock it. Button isnt doing anything

If you can pull the handle off the door (Two rubber plugs and two 10mm screws), and then fish the lock rod up(coat hanger or magnet), you can push the rod forward or pull it back and it will unlock the door.

That's the thing my door is locked shut. Neither handle works since the car thinks it's locked. I messed around with a coat hanger for 2 hours today with no luck. I'm taking it to a nearby body shop to go from there

Oh, gotcha, I'm tracking now. You can use an inflatable air bag to pry the window open, and reach a coat hanger down in to push the unlock button. Or, depending on how slim your arms are, and assuming you can pop the hood with a pair of vice grips from under the front bumper. You could just pop the ECU wiring harness circle clip out and reach down through there to the passenger side door unlock button (it's not impossible, I watched my little sister do it). You know you could call a locksmith to come open it? There's a ton in my area of NC that are mobile and will come to you if you lock your keys in your car.
