Default Need help with Ac

While driving 2005 base model my Ac control **** was in off position, I hit a small pot hole and Ac came on by itself and wouldn't turn off regardless of how I turned the control ****.This is the second time this has happened. It seems like control **** isn't working even when I turn to off position, ac light and blower stays on. Has this happened to anyone else and should I replace control module? When this happens I have to turn car off to get ac light and blower to turn off. Other than the two times I've hit a bump control **** works fine. Off/Auto/low to high and Ac. Does anyone have any suggestions on what should I do. I was going to replace the control switch but not sure if thats a fix. Thank in advance for any help .

Yeah sounds like maybe your ribbon cable on the controls might be disconnected from the back during pot hole dives.

Don't replace the A/C amplifier module unless it's a known bad part. Those things are expensive, even used. Spending $100 at the dealership to have the car hooked up to a Consult computer to have them test the module would be $100 well spent if it turns out to be something as simple as a shorted wire rubbing against all that razor sharp metal behind the dash.
