Default 350z 06 200000k

Hello All,

I have a 06 350z w/ 200000 miles on it that needs a tune up. I love my car and want to keep it in the best condition a budget can allow. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of tune up my car needs?

Go to your owner's manual and look at the maintenance schedule. If you're not the original owner, assume nothing has been done and cover everything that's overdue.

BTW: On these newer computer-controlled cars, there's no such thing as a "tune-up" in the traditional sense; it's just scheduled maintenance. At a minimum, hook the car up to a scan tool that can check all the systems and if you don't know what you're looking for, take the car to a reputable shop that can do a simple diagnostic scan for you. Look for intermittent misfires, O2 sensor readings and other issues that won't necessarily throw a CEL but could indicate potential problems down the road. Check all the suspension parts, engine mounts, belt(s), tires, brakes, filters, etc. Whatever else is on the maintenance check sheet will ensure your car is at a good base line, at a minimum, on consumables like fluids, plugs, etc.
