Default fuel injector pressure damper

So I looked under my hood and I noticed that the rubber around the fuel injector pressure damper chord was damaged. It looked as if somthing had made a clean slice and hitting it at angel that didnkt break the underneath chord. Also the tag underneath a cap that is to the left of the chord hasa cut in it aswell. Im posting to see if anyone hs hd this probelm before and if it maybe that that it is rubbing against somthing. I will add a picture of it to see what I mean.

It's mice. Throw a mothball or two under the hood and they'll go away.

Just get a little mesh bag from the crafts store, dump a mothball or two in it and zip-tie it somewhere out of the way in the engine bay (not near the fresh air vent or the inside of your car will smell like a urinal cake). The mice can smell those from 20 feet away and will avoid getting anywhere near them.

I've used this trick on more than a few farm trucks I've worked on with great success.

EDIT:
These should work:

I bought these and i set up four of them in each corner under the hood. One on the battery cover and brake fluid cover and two on eachsides of the front fender. I figure thats good for now and tomorrow ill try to put in some permanent ones

Also how should i go about repairing it is the only option to replace the whole hose. Its not leaking as you can see its just the outter rubber but if it’s possible i might try to cut off all the ripped rubber and put new rubber on top but i dont know how i could get some rubber to exactly match it

If you're worried about the way it looks, then yeah, just replace the part. Otherwise, just tape it up if it's only the foam rubber insulation that's damaged. Keep an eye on it for the first few days for leaks.

It will require a significant amount of press-fit force to stretch that nylon line back over the barb. I've done it with a modified calk gun and a brake flare clamp. I wouldn't bother with it. Like you said earlier it's just the protective rubber coating. They didn't eat the nylon

38 bux on ebay if you really want to fix this aesthetic imperfection.
