Default Sparked MAF Sensor, Now Won't Start

I was messing around with my strut bar while my car was idling (I know, stupid) and tapped my MAF sensor. It sparked and my car died.

Now it won't turn on at all. Turns quickly but just won't start. The radiator fans immediately turn on when the engine is set to "ON".

I'm guessing I fried something...?

Perhaps time to stop munkeying around and pick up replacement MAF sensor. Maybe disconnect the battery first and cleat any codes and see if it helps.

I don't think the sensor is the problem. Check fuses. Fuse boxes are behind battery, in front of battery, and at drivers kick panel.
Radiator fans coming on are a sign that the ECM fuse is blown. But check all fuses related to engine control.

Also, definitely fix the wiring at your maf sensor, there is no condition in which it should spark upon contact with anything; metallic or not.

Yea the fuse was what I was suspecting. I checked it first thing this morning and it was obliterated.

Took me a while to find it in the manual. For those of you interested, page EC-215 shows the wiring diagram for the MAF sensor listing it as fuse 77 and the fuse box diagram is on page PG-25. On the actual fuse box housing it is listed as IGN & ECCS CONT. It's a 15A fuse. Keep in mind this is for my 2005 AT Touring so yours might be different.

Yup right on the money. I'm gonna wrap the crap out of that MAF sensor wiring with electrical tape and relocate it to the other side.

one more reason to remove it all together and use a MAP sensor, with a haltech, and some turbos, and a built block...
