Horns working 1 at a time
Hey guys. I've got a weird issue going on. My horn was pretty weak such that you could barely hear it on the highway. So I picked up a replacement high(500Hz) and low(400Hz). When installing I tested each one separately and they worked. But when I tested them together, only the high worked.Repeated the tests, same thing. The only notable thing was that the low would sometimes only beep for a split second. I added dielectric grease but it didnt help. Can a horn relay only partially fail? I'm stumped.

Very sorry, could NOT resist.
To answer your q a relay is simply a switch that given the right conditions should close (operate) or open (not). A cheap volt meter will give you resistance and voltage. I'd be looking at degraded wiring and trying another source for ground. GL!
Yeah I've got dielectric grease on the contacts. And each horn has the black plastic casing. But it's mainly weird that each horn works with their respective connectors, but only if I unplug one. If both are plugged in, just the High on the passenger side works.
