I'm sorry if this has already been posted but, I've searched the forums and still could not find anything like my situation. I own a 2005 Nissan 350z Touring (82,000). I'm having an issue where my car will crank but will not start. The problem started when I started my car but it would idle lower than normal, then when I pressed the gas pedal, there was no response. This lead me to change the Throttle position sensor, however that did not do the trick. I changed the MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) as well as the Throttle body to no avail. I tried starting the car again, but this time It started with a distinctive rattle then died. I use the manufacturer procedure to look for codes but the Service Engine Soon light only flashes 5 times. Afterwards I tried to start again, but not it just cranks and will not start. I have no idea what could be the problem seeing that I've changed the parts that are typically the culprit. The alternator is fairly new, the starter is also fairly new as well as the battery, camshaft and crankshaft sensors.
when you flip your key from off to on do you hear the fuel pump prime/run for a few seconds? if no, likely your fuel pump
When you crank the car, does the tachometer show a reading? if no, likely your cam shaft and/or crank shaft position sensors. Smart to replace all three if you have the funds. How long ago did you change them out? Did you use true OEM sensors or sensors from the autoparts store?
Yeah I heard the fuel pump and the tachometer is as normal. SES light flashed 5 times. Tried starting the car still nothing. All sensors were replaced with oem brand.
